| NWIA Inc was incorporated in August, 2006 following a year of development as an unincorporated organisation aiming to establish a sister body with the USA based National Wellness Institute.
Founding members were invited to participate as a Management committee for the association as it proceeded with the incorporation process.
Elections of office bearers was held in July, 2006 and the association applied for incorporation with the support of the National Wellness Institute in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, USA.
